HQ. FEAF, TOKYO --- Sgt. Juanito Magno of Iloilo City, P.I., receives a warm greeting from his countrymen as he arrives at a U.S. Air Force installation near Tokyo, after being flown from Korea as one of the first 36 repatriated UN sick and wounded men. Flanking the repatriate are the Cmdr. Santiago Nuval (left), chief of Phillippine Liaison Section, UN Command; Col. Ramon Aguirre (second from right) commanding officer of the Phillipines' 19th Battalion Combat Team, and Tomas DeCastro, first secretary of Phillippine Mission in Tokyo, representing the Phillippine minister. A U.S. Air Force c-124 "Globemaster" of the 374th Troop Carrier Wing flew the initial 36 from Korea to Japan. April 1953.
